Jiu-Jitsu Coach
Coach Joe Duffy
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a core part of my life, fitting into the trifecta that defines who I am. My athletic background includes high school wrestling and playing rugby as a scrum half, where I learned to rely on strategy, grit, and technical skill to compete against athletes of all sizes. Over the years, I’ve trained in wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and Muay Thai, building a well-rounded skill set that shapes my coaching philosophy.
As a coach, I emphasize fundamentals—defense, technique, and understanding the mechanics of movement. I believe that success, whether in sports or business, comes from mastering systems and processes, allowing for continuous growth and adaptability.
Beyond martial arts, as a credentialed dog trainer, which has given me a deep understanding of learning behavior. Teaching group classes for years has sharpened my ability to communicate, break down complex ideas, and adapt to different learning styles. I’ve worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, and I’m passionate about helping others develop the mindset and skills to elevate their game.
